Author: ericsandstone (TX) I take a school take off project that requires me to guild screws for mounting a PVC closet flange and a drop ear 90 Ell. What sizes of forest screws would be ok for this? I'k looking for the number size of the screws and will probable order a stainless steel blazon or a brass type. Cheers Edited one times. |

Author: Royboysc (SC) For PVC flanges I use #fourteen screws 2" long. On driblet ear ninety's I use #8 X 1 Sail Metal Screws with points and 5/16 heads. |

Writer: hj (AZ) I use sheet rock screws to anchor the drop ear elbow. In that location is absolutely no reason to utilise brass or stainless steel screws for it. |

Author: ericsandstone (TX) Packy This is a school project which is referred to as, tertiary year module. We volition be installing our DWV sys to 3/iv" ply woods. I recollect the shower ear and flange will exist attached to wood, the DWV pipage from unistrut/split ring hangers, and the DHW/DHC pipage from unistrut and split rings also. Author: bernabeu (SC) in an ideal earth: flange: stainless steel #10-1.v" flat caput wood screws drib ear ('shower') ell: stainles steel #6-3/iv" oval head wood screws the reason for stainless - any corrosion (humidity, leaks, condensation, etc.) would allow wet to penetrate into the wood assuasive the screws to go 'sloppy' over time the difference in toll for a handful of due south/south is negligable |

Writer: hj (AZ) I accept REMOVED drywall screws from drop ear elbows which accept been in for decades and have NEVER seen ANY deterioration on them. IF wet gets in in that location, the rotting wood would be much MORE serious than whatever rust on the screws. |

Author: dlh (TX) i use deck screws for wood floors and i use concrete screws for physical, the size and length depends on how good the floor is around the pipage, might need long for at an angle or sort for straight down but usually ii i/2" works well and for the drop eared ell, 1 ane/2" drywall screws always - - - - - - - PLUMBERS "Protecting The Health Of The Nation" |
